Crispy Fried Wontons
Time: 45 Minutes
Ingredients:
Homemade or store bought wonton wrappers
1/2 lb Cream cheese
2 bunches of Green onion
1 cup real of fake crab
1 tsp Chinese five spice
Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce:
2 tbs Garlic and black bean paste
1/4 cup Rice wine vinegar
3/4 cup Sesame seed oil
1/2 tbs Paprika
Method:
Combine in a medium size bowl, 1/2 lb of cream cheese, green onion, 1 tsp Chinese five spice, crab meat to your liking as well as salt and pepper.
Using you wonton wrappers, use a spoon to scoop out a small dollop of the filling and place in the center of the wrapper. Wet the edges then fold the adjacent corners onto each other to create a triangle shape. Next, wet the tip of one corner, and connect with the other. Then wrap the rest.
To fry, in a small pot bring vegetable oil to 350 degrees, then carefully drop wontons in and flip, remove when golden brown. Place on a paper towel to soak up oil.
For the dipping sauce, In a small sauce pan combine rice wine vinegar, paprika, sesame seed oil, and garlic black bean paste. Whisk together bring to slight boil then take off heat let cool and serve.
